Keep in mind, these items have been loved.

Vintage items (both clothing and housewares) are curated with love and passion for the discarded. In a commitment to sustainability, both in terms of the planet and human life, I aim to give a second life to items that have already been produced and curate and appreciation for specific moments in art, history, culture, and design, and the beauty that’s been created from it all, in the form of vintage clothing and housewares.

As best as I can, I aim to identify the cultural and regional derivation of most objects, but if I can’t, I’ll include the location where the item was found by me.

Please note that all clothing items (aside from leather or suede) are washed or dry cleaned prior to being listed and sold to ensure that allergens, dust, and the residue of time is removed before the items join your home. A general cleaning and sanitization applies for houseware items.

By purchasing vintage items, you are accepting the quirks that might come with an older piece. Though I try to get items in as best condition as possible, it is also important to embrace a bit of the imperfect remnants of an item’s past life. Once these items reach you, you can give them a new life as you see fit (hopefully not in the landfills however).

Gendered shopping?

I’m a full supporter of all orientations and identities and welcome all to shop with me, but I do want to make a note about the gendered distinctions within the shop. This is a disclaimer because shopping can be a stressful and exclusionary experience for many and it’s important to note that I do categorize my sections into women’s, men’s, and unisex clothing, but do so for the sole purpose of identifying for you how the item fits and what traditional frames the silhouettes were constructed for in terms of traditional pattern making.

Vintage clothing also fits differently than modern clothes and often (especially within women’s clothing, a modern size is NOT equivalent to a vintage size in women’s clothing). You are not however expected to subscribe to the gendered sections, buy whatever you like, just be mindful of the cut you will experience based on it’s placement in traditional men’s or women’s items!

If you are unsure about any sizing, please refer to my sizing chart to assist in figuring out what modern size would work best. In most instances, I do include the direct measurements for clothing items.
